Graphic novel/concept for The Ghosts of Porcelain Horses vol 1 -

A world of neglect & the utopian escape.

A foster boy's recurring dream of a mythic and elusive carousel floating up into the stars from the center of a hedge labyrinth propels him on a journey. For his parents once collected porcelain mary go-rounds and music boxes when he was an infant, he seeks out further unanswered questions on their disappearance. In these pursuits, he strongly believes he will be reunited with his parents at the location in his dream. Finding such a place in the face of heavy ridicule, his ultimate challenge.

But does such a place exist or do these glowing horses represent a mirror for the main character's life? Something to the likes of a circling wish, reliving joys from the past, around and around, over and over again.
